The mother of a well known Nigerian comedian “MamaNsukka” dies at Memfys Hospital, Enugu on Thursday 10th September.

The deceased is said to have suffered an unknown brain illness after she collapsed at Ogige market, Nsukka, Enugu state on Wednesday morning 9th September.

MamaNsukka who is currently on sick bed, reported that his mother was sound and strong the day before she died.

The comedian told news correspondence that his mother was not showing any sign of illnesses,that she left her apartment to Ogige market with his dad to purchase palm wine which she had been selling for over twelve (12) years now.

He wrote
“she woke up this morning healthy and strong; was not complaining of any illnesses so she went to the market with my daddy as usual to buy palm wine which she has been selling for 12 years now. As they were at the market, she started shouting my head my head; not up to 30 seconds she collapsed and my dad took her to the hospital but at the hospital they said they can not do anything about it, that she needs a brain surgery. I was on the sick bed too reacting with some drugs before my dad called me and told me that my mom is dying, that we should come to Ogonu hospital, that they need to go to Enugu at memfys hospital for brain surgery. We took her there but they said they can not treat her with out two (2) million naira deposit. Everybody was shocked. Not up to five (5) seconds,my own sickness started getting worst. I had to call my dad to tell the driver to take me home from there;on entering the car, I lost consciousness and was rushed to another hospital; I was on drib for hours and meanwhile,my mother was still at the Memfys Hospital.

After i regained consciousness at about 5am, I was discharged and we went back to Memfys Hospital to take my mom to another hospital (Parklane). As we got to Parklane,the receptionist told us they don’t have available bed so we we went to another hospital in New Haven (Posh) and that is around 7am on Wednesday. At “posh”, we were told it’s stroke so we said ok,treat her, with tears in my eyes. We left Enugu at about 1pm on Wednesday to come down to Nsukka,get prepared and go back to the hospital to stay with her but this morning Thursday at 9.00am,she died”,the comedian said.
