Nigeria’s Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been appointed the next World Trade Organization Director-General.
WTO members took the decision after a special meeting with the General Council, following a selection process that included eight candidates from around the world.
Okonjo will resume office on 1st March,2021.
In Okojo’s speeches,she thanked the WTO members for finalizing her election as the next Director-General. Urging the world to forget about business as usual for changes are expected.
